I have been a virtual friend of James the Wine Guy for some time. James Meléndez / Jaime Patricio Meléndez is a wine blogger based in San Francisco. We recently met in person at the 2011 Pinot Days in San Francisco. See my posting here.
James the Wine Guy on You Tube
I particularly like his short video clips in which he reviews wines. James has reviewed some wines of Eastern Europe and I found his reviews quite helpful as I was heading for the region.

James the Wine Guy Wine Blog
James has developed a special style for his postings. It is always about a bottle of wine, short, to the point, including a points rating. James rates his wines on a 0 to 10 points scale. Here is a recent example.
Roederer Estate Hermitage – 2002 – 9.2 – James Meléndez / James The Wine Guy
Varietals:
• Chardonnay – 52%
• Pinot Noir – 48%
Brioche, fresh roasted pine nuts, passionfruit, scent of Quince and autumnal fruit orchard.
¡Salud!
