Reminder: Summer of Riesling 2016 in Virginia with 2 Very Special Guests from Germany

Dear wine friends,

1) Reminder: our annual Riesling party takes place this Sunday, August 14th starting at 5.00 pm at our residence in McLean.

2) News: we are very thrilled to have 2 very special guests who came in from Germany for this event:

* Joachim A. Kaiser well-known wine German journalist and wine consultant will present wines from winery Balthasar Ress, Hattenheim, Rheingau. The wines he has in his luggage are very special: there are from the recent 2015 vintage! This is the first in the US that wines from the outstanding 2015 vintage can be tasted. In Germany 2015 was a picture perfect vintage, only occurring once in a lifetime, and sometimes it does not occur, and I am extremely excited to taste those wines. Of course there are very, very young; they were bottled just for us to taste. * Christian Stahl, an elite winemaker from the Franken wine region will be at the party to present his wines. He is highly regarded in wine circles and prominent German wine critic Stuart Pigott always gave his wines the highest remarks. For those of you who are joining us tomorrow: some information about the party. The party takes place mostly outside, so please dress casually and appropriately for the warm weather. Of course the air-conditioned indoors is also available (the food is there!!!!) to cool off.

Christian and I are very much looking forward to sharing a splendid early evening with you and to taste the many very interesting wines.
