we drove back to Saint-Emilion and Pomerol and had lunch at La Terrasse Rouge, which is right next to Château Cheval Blanc. You also have a nice view of Pomerol. La Terrasse Rouge is part of Château La Dominique, Appellation Saimt-Emilion, Grand Cru Classé, in Saint-Emilion. La Terrasse Rouge is an impressive restaurant.

By climbing to the first floor where the restaurant is located, you will soon understand why this place is called La Terrasse Rouge (the Red Terrace). Much of the terrace is covered with beautiful red and shiny pebble glass. With the vineyards in sight, this incredible landscape is the perfect introduction to this very well equipped and welcoming restaurant.
Nowadays, restaurants are often too noisy and poorly soundproofed; here, however, thanks to modern design, you will not be disturbed by your neighbours; enjoy a generous traditional and refined cuisine in complete tranquility in this beautiful setting. For coffee or digestif, enjoy the terrace and the incredible views of the vineyards.

Following lunch, we checked in at Hotel Au Logis des Remparts in Saint-Emilion, before a tour and tasting at Château Fourtet, Appellation Saint-Emilion, Premier Grand Cru Classé B.
Au Logis des Remparts is a very charming, well tended historic 3 + star, very upscale boutique hotel in the heart of UNESCO world heritage wine town Saint-Emilion with a stunning garden, beautiful views on the vineyards and a gorgeous outdoor pool.
