Second Stop: Bolgheri (Tuscany)

This was an organized group tour, led by wine journalist Giuseppe Lauria. We spent 4 nights in Bolgheri.

Day 4 in Bolgheri 

We started our last day in Bolgheri with a visit of Grattamacco, followed by lunch at La Tana del Pirata in Marina di Castagneto Carducci.

Today the Tana del Pirata is also a venue for events, with a salon for cultural debates and private theme parties, a place that is constantly evolving but that continues to have at its heart the unity and warmth of an extraordinary family.

As it always has been, the Tana del Pirata's kitchen is managed with passion and skill by the Olmi family who offer traditional Tuscan dishes characterized by the excellence of the ingredients, the light cooking and gourmand touches. Recommended by the best guides in the sector, the Tana del Pirata restaurant, expertly and lovingly run by the wives of Alberto and Mauro: Sandra and Sandra, offers refined and inventive first courses like the famous 'exaggerated' spaghetti and maltagliati (homemade pasta) with bream and truffles, grilled fresh fish, catalane, grand royal shellfish plateau, seafood cruditésand homemade desserts, not to mention a list of selected wines among which the excellent wines of Bolgheri stand out.
