The annual consular conference at the German Embassy Washington DC took place from December 1-3, 2021. 

Ambassador Emily Haber: "Germany is represented by devoted professionals throughout the US, serving both Americans and Germans. It's been a pleasure to host the eight German Consuls General, and some of the 38 Honorary Consuls."

 

As part of this conference, Annette Schiller, ombiasy WineTours, was asked to do a 1 1/2 seminar about "The Wines of Germany", which included tasting 3 wines. Annette`s power point presentation, which was also distributed to the participants, is below as are pictures from the seminar.

 

Annette Schiller and I were also invited to a reception for the participants of the consular conference, hosted by the Deputy Chief of Mission of the German Embassy in Washington DC, Ricklef Beutin, and his wife Vera Beutin, Director of the German Information Center.
