Ca’ Del Baio(Elite Wines)

For four generations, Ca’ del Baio has remained a family-run estate, following the deep-rooted traditions of the Langhe region. The Grasso family’s vineyards, surrounding their farmhouse, have been expanded over time through marriages and acquisitions.

Today, Giulio and Luciana, along with their daughters Paola, Valentina, and Federica, manage every aspect of the business with dedication and expertise. From vineyard management and winemaking to hospitality and wine sales, the family’s passion is evident in every facet of the estate’s operations. Their commitment to simplicity, hard work, and a profound connection to their land ensures the production of high-quality wines.

The Ca’ del Baio estate now spans 28 hectares of vineyards in Barbaresco and Treiso, both part of the prestigious Barbaresco winegrowing area. The family produces a variety of wines, primarily from estate-grown grapes. Their white wines include Moscato, Chardonnay, and Riesling, while the reds feature Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto, with most being single-varietal expressions.

The estate’s oldest and most esteemed vines, aged between 25 and 40 years, produce Nebbiolo grapes used for their renowned Barbaresco wines. These include the distinguished crus of Asili and Pora from the commune of Barbaresco, and Vallegrande and Marcarini from Treiso.

Over the years, Ca’ del Baio has earned a prominent reputation in the world of Barbaresco, one of Italy’s most celebrated red wines, competing in markets across Europe and globally.
