Picture: Interviewing Georg M. Taber, who was a reporter and editor with Time Magazine for 21 years. Georg was stationed in Paris between 1973 and 1976, and participated in the famous 1976 Judgment of Paris tasting, an event that put American wine on the world map. In 2005, George wrote a book on the event.
In the context of the European Wine Bloggers Conference 2011 in Brescia in northern Italy, a group of wine bloggers went on a 1-day trip to the Soave region. We visited 3 wineries – Balestri Valda, Coffele and Cantina Sociale di Soave and met a group of winemakers – Soavecru - in the Palazzo Vescovile in Monteforte d’Alpone, where we had lunch with them and tasted their wines.
I have reported about the trip on schiller-wine: Wining and Blogging in the Soave Region, Italy.
During the trip, all wine bloggers were interviewed. The interviews were then published on YouTube. Here is my interview.
