The new Gault Millau WeinGuide Deutschland – for 2024 – was published in November 2023. This was the 36. release of this wineguide. It reviews more than 2.000 wines of more than 600 producers.

Its rating symbol for winemakers is a grape and Germany’s best winemakers are awarded 1 to 5 grapes, red or black. 5 red grapes is better than 5 black grapes (= 4.5 grapes). The wines are rated using the 1 to 100 points scale.

Gault&Millau: Mit der „Next Generation“ wird der Winzerinnen- und Winzernachwuchs zum zweiten Mal in Folge von den Gault&Millau Expert:innen gewürdigt. Das sind vielversprechende junge Menschen, die gerade den Betrieb der Eltern übernommen haben, mit ihnen zusammenarbeiten oder ein eigenes Weingut gegründet haben.
