Austria 2023 by ombiasy WineTours took place from Sunday, May 28 - Thursday, June 08, 2023. We toured Austria for 12 days, starting and ending in Vienna: Wien, Wagram, Carnuntum, Burgenland, Steiermark, Wachau, Kamptal, Kremstal, Traisental, Wien.
We stayed 3 nights in the Steiermark, of which 2 nights in the Weinrefugium Brolli in Gamlitz. Both nights we had dinner on the terrace of Weinrefugium Brolli, with a breathtaking view, an excellent 3-course menu and wine from Weingut Brolli.
Weinrefugium Brolli
Weinrefugium Brolli: Do you have the desire for true recovery? Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but so convenient to make the day active? Then you are in the right place with us in the wine refugium. Overlooking the surrounding vineyards, the 4-star hotel Weinrefugium Brolli is located 5 km from the centre of Gamlitz. The on-site restaurant serves typical Austrian cuisine and regional specialties which can also be enjoyed on the terrace. WiFi is available in public areas. Furnished in a modern or traditional style, the rooms all come with a minibar, a safety deposit box, a TV, and a bathroom with bath or shower, bathrobes and slippers. Some rooms at the Weinrefugium Brolli feature a balcony. A rich breakfast is offered every morning. Guests can relax at the spa area of the property including an indoor pool and a sauna, or at the garden, and on request, massages are available.

Mit dem Fundament unseres Hauses starteten Helga und Hermann im Jahr 1991. Das Stammhaus bestand damals aus 30 Sitzplätzen in der Buschenschank und 11 Zimmern, die wir unseren Gästen für Übernachtungen zur Verfügung stellen konnten. Der Fokus lag zu dieser Zeit primär auf dem Weingut und unseren Kunden, die sich lukullisch verwöhnen und mit dem einen oder anderen edlen Tropfen den Gaumen küssen lassen wollten. 2011 folgte ein massiver Ausbau unserer Anlage mit weiteren 20 Zimmern für unsere Übernachtungsgäste inklusive Weinbergzimmer, Seminarraum und erholsamem Wellnessbereich.
Ein Haus, drei Generationen. Unser Weinrefugium ist ein Familienbetrieb wie er im Buche steht. (Weil Blut ja bekanntlich dicker ist als Wasser) Eine perfekte Synergie aus drei Generationen. Im familiengeführten Hotel sind auch noch alle Generationen selbst mit Leidenschaft am Werk. Seniorchef Hermann Skoff ist für den Wein verantwortlich, Seniorchefin Helga Brolli ist der gute Geist des Hauses und Oma Gertrude zaubert noch heute jedem Gast ein Lächeln auf die Lippen. Stephanie Brolli: „Als junge Generation sind wir sehr stolz, in so einem Umfeld arbeiten zu dürfen. Es ist die Basis, auf der wir Großes aufbauen können.“First Dinner
